LADY BEARS SWEEP BI-DISTRICT SERIES
April 27 (Cleveland) – The Lady Bears (25-7) swept the Livingston Lady Lions to take the Bi-DIstrict series two games to none. LCM won game won Firday night 11-1. Jacelyn Cook had a grand slam and Tessa Erickson added a walk-off 2-run homerun. Every Lady Bear recorded a hit in the game. In game two on Saturday, LCM scored three runs in the seventh inning to win 6-5. Cook went 3-for-4 with two RBI’s and Ava Wright went 2-for-3 with a solo homerun, her first of the year. The Lady Bears will take on Gilmer in round two. Details will be announced on Monday.

LADY BEARS ROLL TO WIN IN REGULAR SEASON FINALE
April 19 (Silsbee) – The Lady Bears rolled past the Silsbee Lady Tigers 17-0 in their final regular season game of the year. LCM got homeruns from Keylie Washburn, Lexi Moss, and Tessa Erickson (above L-R). Erickson got the win on the mound tossing a one-hit gem. The Lady Bears finish district play tied for second with Lumberton. LCM (23-6, 9-3) will play the Lady Raiders at Jasper on Monday (6pm start) to decide the second and third seed in the playoffs.
LADY BEARS SHUTOUT WOS ON SENIOR NIGHT
April 16 (LCM/The Pete) – The Lady Bears and shutout the West Orange-Stark Lady Mustangs 22-0 in three innings. LCM (22-6, 8-3) had six hits as Keylie Washburn led the way going 2-for-2 with a triple, two RBI’s and two runs scored. They also had ten stolen bases. Jacelynn Cook pitched all three innings giving up just one hit with six strikeouts and no walks. It was also Senior Night and the Lady Bears recognized their seniors, Abigail Granger, Ava Wright, Jacelyn Cook, and Alex Pincher (above L to R).
LADY BEARS CRUISE PAST JASPER
April 12 (Jasper) – The Lady Bears cruised to an 11-4 win over the Jasper Lady Bulldogs Friday night. Keylie Washburn (above left) was in the zone going 4-for-4 with a HR, double, and five RBI’s. Tessa Erickson (above right) struck out seven in four innings for the win and also hit a homerun. Ava White had a monster game going 4-for-4 with two RBI’s and four runs scored. LCM is now 21-6 overall and 7-3 in district play.
LADY BEARS DOWN LADY RAIDERS – PICK UP WIN #20
April 9 (LCM/The Pete) – The Lady Bears (20-6, 6-3) got some revenge on Lumberton after an earlier season loss, beating the Lady Raiders 11-7 and picking up win #20 on the season. Ella Stephenson battled for the complete game win giving up two earned runs on five hits with eight strikeouts and eight walks. Offensively senior Jacelynn Cook (above) was 2-for-4 with a 3-run triple, a walk, and two runs scored The Bears are now 6-3 in district.
LADY BEARS SINK LADY PIRATES
April 5 (Vidor) – The Lady Bears (19-6, 5-3) picked up a district road win 6-2 over the Vidor Lady Pirates Friday night. Tess Erickson struck out eight and only gave up one earned run on six hits. Erickson was also 2-for-4 at the plate with 2RBI’s. Eden Frenzel and Ava White had two hits while Jacelyn Cook drove in a run and had a stolen base.
COOK SIGNS WITH NORTHEAST CC
April 4 (LCM) – Jacelynn Cook signed to play softball at Northeast CC in Mount Pleasant Thursday afternoon surrounded by family, friends, and coaches. The Lady Bears second baseman has been a four year starter for Coach Dena Adkins.

March 26 (LCM/The Pete) – LCM Softball (18-5, 4-2) picked up a solid district win as they beat the Silsbee Lady Tigers 16-6. Ella Stephenson (above) got the win and drove in four runs. Keylie Washburn homered and drove in 3. Ava Wright was 2-2 and Lexi Moss and Eden Frenzel were 3-3.

March 17 (LCM/The Pete) – LCM and Lumberton battled in a wild game as both teams put on a hitting display at The Pete, combining for 26 hits with Lumberton winning 11-10. Eden Frenzel was 4-for-4 with 3 runs and Lexis Moss was 3-for-3 with 2 HR’s and 7 RBI’s as the two collected seven of the Bears ten hits. Senior Jacelyn Cook added a two run double. The Lady Bears fall to 1-2 in district play and 15-5 overall.

March 12 (LCM/The Pete) – The Lady Bears (15-4) improved to 1-1 in district play as they picked up a 10-1 district win over the Vidor Lady Pirates at the Pete Tuesday night. March 12 (LCM) – The LCM Softball Field was renamed Pete Mota Field for a longtime fan of the Lady Bears. During the ceremony it was said, “May this field serve as a reminder of the impact one person can have on the lives of others and the power of sports to unite us all as a community.” Mr. Pete Mota (below) was recognized by Superintendent Stacy Brister, members of the LCM School Board, the Lady Bears, family, friends, faculty, and LCM fans before the game.

LADY BEARS FINISH 4-1 IN FRANKLIN TOURNAMENT
March 2 (Franklin) – The Lady Bears won three games Friday in the Franklin Tournament. LCM beat Normangee 24-0 scoring all 24 in two innings. Ava Wright had 3 RBI’s and Tess Erickson struck out 7 in 3 innings. In game-2 against Rogers, Keylie Washburn (above) homered to tie the game at 5 in the third and the Lady Bears would go on to win 8-6. In game-3 the girls won their night game scoring 5 runs in the 8th for a 6-5 win over White Oak. Abby Sepulvado had the big hit in the inning with a 3 run single. On Saturday, LCM fell to Salado 9-3 and then won their final game against Rogers, 5-1. The Lady Bears improve to 14-3 on the season.
LADY BEARS GO 5-1 IN SWEENY TOURNEY
February 24 (Sweeny) – The Lady Bears had a tremendous run in the Sweeny Tournament this week going 5-1 overall. LCM opened the tourney on Thursday pounding out 26 hits in two games. The Bears beat host Sweeny 7-0 in game one behind Tess Erickson’s 2 hit/11 K performance on the mound. LCM downed Danbury in game two 10-4. Ava Wright was 3-for-3 with 2RBI’s and Jacelyn Cook and Lexis Moss had back-to-back dingers. On Friday, the Lady Bears picked up wins #3 and #4 with a 7-0 win over George-Ranch and a 4-3 win over Bellville. Saturday’s action saw LCM fall to Columbia 4-3 and get win #5 with a 5-2 victory over Rockport-Fulton. In their win over Rockport-Fulton, Moss hit a grand slam as was 2-for-3 for the game.
LADY BEARS OFF TO SOLID START
February 19 (LCM) – The LCM Lady Bears put on an offensive display Monday as they cruised to a 10-0 win over the Nederland Lady Bulldogs. Lexis Moss (above) went 3-for-3 with two doubles and a home run. Jacelyn Cook also went 3-for-3 at the plate. Ella Stephenson looked phenomenal in the circle, showing great control and picking up another win. LCM is now 5-2 on the season and will play in the Sweeny Tournament this weekend. The JV Lady Bears won 5-0.

February 17 (Baytown) - The Lady Bears finished the weekend 4 and 2 at the Goose Creek Memorial Softball Tournament. The team had 36-hits, 6-home runs, and 10 stolen bases. Junior Lexis Moss had three of the six home runs. LCM will take on Nederland Monday and then travel to Sweeny next week for the Battle of the Best Tournament.
LADY BEARS WIN THRILLER OVER PNG
February 13 – The Lady Bears won a thriller in extra innings as they beat PNG 5-4 in 9 innings. Ella Stephenson (above) got the win going 5.1 innings. Stephenson faced 22 batters, gave up 5 hits, 1 run, 3 BB, 6 strike outs. Keylie Washburn led the offense as she went 3-for-5 with the walk off single in the bottom of the 9th to score Eden Frenzel. The Lady Bears had 6 steals, 6 hits, and walked 8 times. Frenzel and Kendall Jones both had 2 walks and Jones tied the game up at 4-4 on a wild pitch/passed ball score at the plate. Frenzel advanced to third base and Washburn hit a walk off ground ball to short stop. Other hitters for the Bears were Eden Frenzel, Lexis Moss, and Abby Sepulvado each with a single.
