Professional Experience

Current Position:

  • 2023-2024 was my first year at LCM High School.
  • The 2024-2025 school year will be 27th year at LCMCISD.
  • Along with teaching 4 choirs at LCM, I also teach music appreciation, which is a non-performing class that fulfills the Fine Arts requirement for students that may enjoy experiencing music, but don’t like to perform.
  • I also teach private oboe lessons after school and applied vocal music.

Previous Position:

  • I began teaching in Texas in 1997 after moving from Wyoming.
  • Prior to my time at LCM, I taught K-5 music in Van, Texas.
  • I spent the next 25 years teaching choir at Little Cypress Junior High

Family Information:

My husband and I were married in 1996 in my hometown of Cheyenne, Wyoming.  We have a daughter who graduated from LCM in 2017.  We have brother and sister German Shepherd Dogs who love to keep us active and on our toes.

Personal Information:

I love to read and am a huge Disney and Peanuts fan.  I love to travel and have been lucky to be able to visit 29 states and four different countries including a trip to where I was born in Germany.  I enjoy watching soccer, musicals, Deadliest Catch and all of the NCIS’s.  I like learning new things.  I'm a horrible cook, but like to bake sweets.  I love my job and try to treat every day as a new adventure to explore the bountiful world of music.
