VARSITY TENNIS COMPETES IN NEDERLAND TOURNEY

March 7 ( Nederland) – Varsity Bear Tennis competed in the Nederland Tournament Friday. The Bears had an outstanding showing and four Bears came away with medals. In the Boys Doubles A Division, Sam Barnes and Javan Prejean (above left) took 3rd place. In the Mixed Doubles A Division, Sarah Barnes and Jace Benton (above right) also took 3rd place.

March 6 (Beaumont) – Battlin’ Bears JV Tennis Team competed in Beaumont Thursday. Ella Stark (above) competed in the Freshman Girls Singles bracket and came away with the 3rd place bronze medal.

February 28 (Beaumont) – Bear Tennis competed in the Vidor Varsity Tournament in Beaumont Friday afternoon. Congratulations to these amazing Bears who placed in the tournament: Carson Forester (above) - 1st place gold medalist, Boys A Singles – Sarah Barnes - 3rd place bronze medalist, Girls A Singles – Luke Scott and Annsley Prince - 3rd place bronze medalists, Mixed A Doubles

JV HAS GREAT SHOWING IN VIDOR TOURNEY

February 27 – The LCM JV Battlin’ Bears tennis team played in the Vidor Tournament on Thursday. The Bears had a great showing and came away with several victories. Gold 1st Place finishers were: JV Boys Doubles - Lance Scott and Hunter Hanlon. Freshmen Girls Doubles - Josie Segelke and Jada Smith (above). Other outstanding Bears: Freshmen Boys Doubles - Justus Fuller and Keaper Elliott. Freshmen Boys Doubles - Corbin Broussard and Easton Jones. Freshmen Mixed Doubles - Brayten Moore and Madison Scott. JV Girls Doubles - Aliviah Jasso and Reagan Weatherford. Freshmen Girls Doubles - Avery Standley and Ella Stark. JV Mixed Doubles - Kaylee Prouse and Logan Odom. Girls Singles - Jiya Panchal. Boys Singles - Joseph Fuss.

VARSITY TENNIS PLAYS IN KOUNTZE TOURNEY

February 7 (Kountze) – Varsity Bear Tennis had a great showing at the Kountze Tournament Friday afternoon. From L-R, Taylor Huckaby and Jenna Huckaby placed 2nd in the Girls A Doubles Division. Carson Forester placed 2nd in the Boys A Singles Division. Tucker Floyd and Jonah Fuller placed 3rd in the Boys B Doubles Division.

JV TENNIS MEDALS IN LEGACY TOURNAMENT

February 6 (Beaumont) – JV Tennis competed in their first tournament Thursday afternoon against Legacy. Corban Broussard and Keaper Elliott placed 3rd in the boys doubles division. Madison Scott and Brayten Moore placed 3rd in the mixed doubles division.

BEARS WRAP UP GREAT FALL SEASON

October 10 (Madisonville) – LCM Team Tennis wrapped up their season as they fell to China Spring in the Area Round of the playoffs Thursday morning.

BEARS GET ROUND ONE PLAYOFF WIN

October 7 – LCM Team Tennis took home the win on Monday in the first round of playoffs. They played the Lumberton Raiders and won with an overall score of 15-4.

PERRY AND STEPHENSON SELECTED LADY BEARS AOW

September 30 – Congratulations to seniors Lindi Perry and Ella Stephenson for being selected as the LCM Lady Bears Athletes of the Week. Last week against Vidor, Ella won both of her tennis matches played in singles & doubles. Lindi had outstanding offensive performances in both volleyball matches played against Bridge City and Vidor this past week. She exhibited smart & aggressive net play by contributing 12 kills against the Cardinals and 11 kills facing the Pirates.

September 3 – Congratulations to senior Madison McConnell for being selected as the LCM Lady Bears Athlete of the Week. Last week against Vidor, Madison played in singles & doubles, and she won both matches.

August 13 – Congratulations to freshman Sarah Barnes for being selected as the LCM Lady Bears Athlete of the Week. Last week, Sarah competed in mixed doubles & girls singles against Dayton and won both matches.
